How it works

A passive (infrared motion detector) is placed in individual rooms where lighting is to be controlled by the unit and wired into the existing lighting installation. As movement is detected by the passive it activates the light in the room. A timer then starts a countdown to zero. Once the timer reaches zero the light is switched off. If movement is detected before the timer times out, the timer is reset until no more detection has taken place.

This unit can switch on lights, air conditioners, fans, TV’s, radios, etc.

Operation

Once in operation the unit will switch the lights on in that individual room as the person enters and will switch off the lights when the person exits the room. This also applies to weekends when the building is mostly empty, keeping the lights off that otherwise would have been left on saving money and pollution 24/7.

The unit

The unit is compact and easy to install (can be done DIY) with a socket and plug to interlink between the existing plugs and lights, and has a small unobtrusive passive which is hardwired to the control unit.

For added security

As an intruder enters a room fitted with the unit, all lights connected to the unit will automatically switch on exposing the intruder with nowhere to hide. On returning home after dark and you notice the lights are on, call the police and armed response. Someone has been or is still on your premises.
